Switching

Moving from Intercom to Kora

  1. 1Recreate your structure

Create a Kora workspace and rebuild your categories, priorities and workflow (claim-based, assignment-based or auto-claim). It takes minutes, not a project.

  2. 2Move what matters

Open tickets can be recreated by pasting them into Kora, where AI structuring writes the title and description and suggests the category, free of charge. You set the priority. Tickets can also be created through the public API.

  3. 3Recreate rules and targets

Re-enter your SLA targets and automation rules in Kora. Teams usually start with fewer rules than they had.

  4. 4Run both for a short time

Keep Intercom for anything Kora does not cover yet, such as email as a channel, and move the rest across.

Where Kora is weaker today

  • No messenger or live chat yet (planned)
  • No proactive messaging
  • No email-to-ticket yet (planned)
  • No single sign-on yet
  • A smaller AI feature set than Fin

Common questions

How much does Fin cost?

$0.99 per outcome on Intercom's pricing, checked 29 Oct 2026. Fin used standalone has a monthly minimum of outcomes. Kora charges $0.30 per confirmed resolution.

Do the AI prices measure the same thing?

Not exactly. Intercom bills outcomes, which can include more than a plain resolution. Kora counts a resolution when the customer confirms it or after 72 hours of quiet. Compare what is counted, not only the rate.

Is Kora cheaper than Intercom?

At small volumes usually yes, because Kora has no seat fee. Intercom Essential at about $19 per seat is cheaper than Kora once an agent handles more than about 190 tickets a month.

Does Kora have a messenger?

No. Live chat is planned and not available yet.

Can I move from Intercom to Kora?

Yes. You recreate categories and rules and bring tickets across by pasting them or using the API.

Where do these prices come from?

From intercom.com/pricing (checked 29 Oct 2026) and fin.ai/pricing (checked 28 Oct 2026). Confirm billing periods before you buy.
