How to trigger a feedback prompt with IteratoService.collect()

Updated Oct 6, 2026

Call IteratoService.collect(event_id) at the exact moment you want feedback. Iterato shows a small feedback toast tied to that event.

Basic usage

IteratoService.collect("checkout-success");

With a configuration object

IteratoService.collect("onboarding-complete", {
  tags: ["onboarding", "cta-clicked"],
  reaction_type: "smiley",
  followup_if_negative: true,
  question_count: 3
});

Good moments to trigger feedback

  • Right after a purchase or payment succeeds

  • When a user finishes onboarding or a setup wizard

  • After a user tries a new feature for the first time

  • When a user cancels, downgrades or abandons a flow

Rules of thumb

  1. Always call init() before collect().

  2. Use one stable event_id per moment, so results stay comparable over time.

  3. Don't trigger on every page view. Fewer, well-timed prompts get far more answers.
